We catch up with our new Director of Strategic Partnerships, Kellie Lindsay. Why did you join Autotech? Kellie: As one who thrives on “what’s next?”, I was drawn to Autotech’s passion to catalyze innovation in the ground transport and mobility space.

With the rapidly growing complexity of transportation ecosystem, finding the right logistics provider that can offer the right price and right delivery terms for any package is getting exceedingly difficult.

We love how ShipHawk allows online retailers, manufacturers and distributors to streamline operations and reduce their shipping costs across the country, which is why we invested in them in 2018. We sat down with their founder and CEO, Jeremy Bodenhamer, to discuss the challenges in launching his company as well as the launch of his new book, “Adapt or Die: Your Survival Guide to Modern Warehouse Automation.”

We catch up with our new Principal, Burak Cendek. Why did you join Autotech? Burak: It was a combination of domain, strategy and team.

Outdoorsy is an excellent example of identifying product-market fit. When did you know you had a great idea?

After running 6 companies (3 public and 3 private), I wanted to look towards the outdoors as I was fascinated by outdoor lifestyles and wanted to get away from a world of conference rooms, fluorescent lights and endless management meetings. I met my partner, Jen Young, at a board meeting in Vancouver, BC and she had the same idea. We started to research the camping industry and the RV market but data was spotty and scattered. So, Jen and I (we had started dating in 2014) decided to travel across America in an RV to do our own investment thesis on the outdoor market.

We sit down with our new Executive Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, Dave McShane. Why did you join Autotech? Dave: It was an easy decision. I am passionate about the commercialization of the next generation of technologies and companies that will reshape mobility.
