Autotech Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm with more than $500M under management to date and a mission to solve the world’s ground transport challenges with technology, realizing the next frontier in mobility. We are a team of experienced entrepreneurs, operators, technologists and investors with a world-class transport community and decades of ground transport experience. With our founder-first philosophy, we invest globally in Seed through series C startups solving ground transport challenges related to connectivity, autonomy, shared-use, electrification, and digitization of enterprise. We're excited about deep-tech, autonomous, AI, and semiconductors, and business model innovations in marketplaces, fintech and SaaS, among other things. When we find the right opportunity, we’re willing to make an initial investment of $1-$8M as a lead or follow-on investor, and we generally prefer capital-light businesses.
A unique lens
Our team has operated within the ground transport and venture capital industries for decades, growing a unique ability to discover and build startups that can complement or disrupt the transport industry. From being involved very early in highly disruptive companies such as Lyft and SpotHero, to spearheading the United States autonomous vehicle policy framework, to helping transport startups raise in excess of $5B and grow their valuations to more than $25B, our team builds on this experience to fuel our thesis on the future of mobility. We understand macro transport trends and daily operations of transport businesses, allowing us to identify not only widely-hyped startup disruptors, but also non-obvious transport market opportunities in niches that require sector expertise.
